Northern Kentucky Hardin |
|
Size: 2 9/16" long x 1 1/2" wide
Provenance: Found by Dick Ackman in Northern Kentucky near Alexandria. One of the few Hardin finds I am aware of in the area.
Condition: Perfect. This blade has some nice beveling, and excellent flaking. I am not 100% sure of the material, but I believe it is local. I would describe it as a high quality tan/white glossy chert.

Curved Pinetree |
|
Size: 3" long.
Provenance: Southern Kentucky
Condition: Excellent. The blade exhibits a twisted resharpening pattern that really adds to the piece. Material may be a heavily patinated Indiana Hornstone, but I am not sure. This pinetree grades out in the upper end of the type.

Dovetail Drill |
|
Size: 1 11/16" long.

Bifurcated Base Kirk |
|
Size: 2 5/8" long.
Provenance: Information lost to time...
Condition: Excellent. Nice early archaic example that I would class as thinner than most of the type. Opposite side that isn't pictured has some caliche like deposits, so this could be an old cave find from Kentucky.
